A fine team performance at Wembley
Client Wembley Stadium
Contract Mechanical Services
Value £1.8M
Duration 9 Months
After a 9 year spell at Soho Square, the FA decided it was time to blow the final whistle on their old office and move to a more suitable headquarters. Where better than the national stadium itself?
Arthur McKay was awarded the task of relocating the FA from their Soho offices to Wembley Stadium. Within the stadium there was a large area beneath the bowl which was unoccupied so the FA decided it was an ideal space for them to utilise.
We were responsible for design development, co-ordination, installation and commissioning.
Mechanical services provided included chilled water, high temperature hot water heating, low pressure hot water, domestic hot water services, drainage and ventilation.
The project was unique due to the restrictions with access, working in a live environment, integration with existing stadia services and the matter of security with such a high profile venue.
The contract was finished on time undeterred by a very challenging programme, another example of why Arthur McKay is top of the league.
